Public Enterprise Euroregion Country of Lakes Lithuanian Office is a non-profit public legal entity that implements the decisions of the Euroregion's Country of Lakes Board of Directors, organizing and participating in the implementation of socio-economic, cultural projects in the region. Currently, the Euroregion Country of Lakes consists of 8 municipalities of Lithuania (Anykščiai district, Ignalina district, Kupiškis district, Molėtai district, Švenčionys district, Utena district, Visaginas and Zarasai districts), 15 municipalities of Latvia and 8 Belarusian administrations.  The objectives of the institution are: 1. To influence the process of regional development; 2. To cooperate with the offices of the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Belarus, simultaneously implement joint projects and maintain close contacts; 3. Participate in the activities of the European Union programs; 4. To execute the decisions of the Euroregion Country of Lakes Board of Directors; 5. To influence the long-term economic development of the Euroregion Country of Lakes. Public Enterprise Euroregion Country of Lakes Lithuanian Office has initiated and participated in many international projects, co-financed from EU funds and programs and is always looking for partners in other projects.
