Zasavje Regional development agency, a regional public institution has been established in the year 2016 by the Zasavje region municipalities in order to continue the regional development of the Zasavje region. The agency implements general development activities in accordance to the Ministry of economic development and technology, transferring good practices from other European regions to the Zasavje region and Slovenia in general. The agency connects all the local key stakeholders and has connections with civil society and cultural organizations. It provides them a safe environment to carry out their ideas and plans. It also has connections with all other Slovenian regional development agencies and with numerous development institutions from the countries of south eastern Europe. Due to its geographical position and good relations with many countries, it could play an important role as a bridge connecting current and future EU members. The agency employs experts in the field of business, entrepreneurship, human resources, environment, history, law and civil society. As individuals, we have a wide experience of preparing and implementing European projects and we have connections and access to local NGOs, cultural organizations, enterprises, etc., so we are able to cover different topics and take part in different projects.
