The municipality of Cazzago Brabbia, located on the south bank of Lake Varese, is a village of 850 inhabitants. It has a special relationship with the water resource: close to the lake is the Brabbia Wetland, inserted in habitats protected by the Ramsaar Convention (Convention on Wetlands of International Importance). The link witj the lake is testified by the presence of the Lake Fishermen's Cooperative, over 100 years old and confirmed by the presence of "Ghicciaie", an ancient nineteenth century buildings for the conservation of fish. This Cooperative is still active. There is an intense cultural and theatrical activity (local writers). The local community, due to the limited size, has developed a quality of life in which it excels intergenerational mutual coexistence. The geographical position is particularly valid for the tourist attraction, and to ride bicycles, since the connection to the cycle path of Lake Varese.
