The Foundation's origins go back to 1966, when a married couple, both of them educational psychologists, the Arroyo Martinez family, conscious of the social needs of the times, opened the first school for children with intellectual disabilities in Madrid. The Foundation has 49 years of experience of working day after day to help persons with an intellectual disability to better integrate, both socially and in the workforce. We are a centre subsidised by the Regional Government of Madrid and over 600 people use our centres each day.  We have 20,000 m2 of premises, where we provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities. At the moment, Juan XXIII Foundation has diverse resources: Day Centre Occupational Centre Employment Training Centre Employment Centre for Special Needs, Ibergrupo
