We are a private institution managing public heritage: a Museum and Botanic Garden.Villa Carlotta is located on Como Lake in a touristic area and is visited by 200000 people annually. Our mission is to preserve and promote the heritage we’ve been given for conservation. We have a very agile institutional structure which allows us to develop a thousand activities: educational programmes, events, concerts, exhibitions, leisure activities.We are used to run projects in many areas of knowledge: from history to botany, from art to biology but we are also involved in research activities focussed on pedagogy and methodology of teaching besides cultural heritage sciences (such as restauration chemistry etc.). We are keen on developing new projects on social inclusion, active citizenship, wellbeing and other human science-related topics.We have a thick network of relationships with local institutions and associations.We have a little experience in managing EU funds but, if needed, we ‘d be happy to act as project leader in any application which relates to our activity domains.
