Unions of municipalities are local authorities made up by two or more municipalities in order to implement together some functions of their competence: indeed, the goal is to optimize the services provided to citizens through rationalization and cost reduction. Logudoro is a vast area of north-central Sardinia, very famous for the first language of Sardinia (Sardo Logudorese). It belongs to the province of Sassari. Logudoro Union (in Ozieri) is composed by the municipalities of Ardara, Ittireddu, Mores, Ozieri, Pattada, Nughedu San Nicolò and Tula (more than 20.000 citizens).
