Belvì is a small agro-pastoral town in the centre of Sardinia, famous and much appreciated for its natural resources (woods of walnuts, chestnuts, cherry trees, ilexes and cork-trees), food, traditions,architecture, handicraft and culture. Belvì is also member of Comunità Montana Genargentu-Mandrolisai, an association of eleven mountainous municipalities (www.gennargentumandrolisai.it). Our Municipality hosts the Natural Science Museum, the only one in Sardinia, which dates back to 1980 and includes mineralogical,paleontological, fauna, entomological and erpethological divisions. There are several archaeological sites. Among others: the Domus de Janas, "House of the Fairies", a type of pre-historic chamber tombs found in the Mediterranean area, but typical of Sardinia. We are looking for partners of EU 27 (especilly Malta, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland and Denmark) + EFTA countries, candidate countries and countries from the Western Balkans.
