Terre dei Savoia is a non-profit organisation that includes over 50 municipalities in Southern Piedmont (Racconigi, Savigliano, Bra, Carmagnola, Cherasco, Lagnasco, Barolo, Bene Vagienna, Cavallermaggiore, Cervere, Fossano, Govone, Marene, Novello, Vicoforte, Verduno, Pancalieri, Garessio, Limone Piemonte,..), born in 2004. All these towns are characterised by millenary cultural and artistic heritage. They are related to the House of Savoy’s political and cultural past happenings (the Savoy contributed to the unification and birth of Italy). The area is rich in natural and farming landscape, with smart rural lands and agro-industrial business contexts.The organisation main goal is to promote the area enhancing social, cultural, touristic and entrepreneurial development.Its specific areas of expertise are:- Individuating local needs, debating them and finding appropriate solutions;- Fostering participation to European activities, giving anyone’s ideas the opportunity to become successful actions;- Giving associated Municipalities the opportunity of entering an international scene giving value to the Savoy territories and theirs identities;- Offering training and education to promote knowledge of the area and of the whole production lines in agribusiness and agro-industrial topics;- Improving competitiveness, experimenting innovative processes and policies to integrate ICT and digital developments within cultural heritage and art communities.TdS has moved a step further, going from touristic and cultural promotion, to entrepreneurial development based on typical and cultural landmarks, particularly, managing Interreg ALCOTRA Projects in the latest years.
